Neurodiversity and Autism Transition Services (NATS) has multiple programs to support neurodivergent University of Maryland (UMD) college students within 3 programs and 2 programs for high school college bound students to increase specific skills in group settings and individual sessions in areas such as, executive functioning, social interaction, self-advocacy, and conflict resolution.
NATS Social Interaction Group Network for All (SIGNA)
SIGNA Odyssey for UMD freshman and transfer students to learn how to navigate college life, find-make-keep friendships, self- advocate and more
SIGNA Launch for UMD sophomores through seniors to prepare for skills related to working in labs and internships
SIGNA Lab for Autism and Neurodiversity Employment to work with UMD juniors and seniors to increase skills in the preparation for and transition to employment
NATS High School Programs for Students who are College-Bound
Executive Function For the Effective Cognitive Transformation (EFFECT) is a fully virtual program for 9-12th grade high school students in the District of Columbia and Maryland metro areas who need to improve their executive function skills such as planning, organization, time management, problem solving and decision-making
Modified-PEERS is a hybrid program for 9-12th grade high school students in the District and Maryland metro areas who need to increase their social interaction skills such as finding-making-keeping friendships, handling teasing and bullying, self-advocating, and resolving conflict.
